SUPPLIES:
If you would like a button/snap closure you will need buttons/snaps and a scrap of medium weight fusible interfacing. The number of buttons/snaps you will need will depend on the size and option you are making. A short cardigan will require between 5 and 8 buttons/snaps and a long cardigan will require between 7 and 11 buttons/snaps. 12mm - 20mm buttons are ideal.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
Main Fabric: Medium-weight knit fabric, e.g., cotton/Lycra French terry, sweatshirt fleece, etc. You need fabric with at least 20% stretch, and closer to 50% is best. Lighter fabrics such as cotton/Lycra jersey can be used but will result in a looser fit garment.
